"mydeal.com.my" customer service silly mistake.

I can’t stop laughing when my brother showed me this funny reply by someone (Fern leaf) who voices his dissatisfaction on “mydeal.com.my” in their no reply to his complained issue.

This joker who works for (mydeal.com.my) replied to this customer in a nice manner, but he should brush up his English! Look at the photo to learn why I manage to laugh till I have stomach ache and saliva out from mouth (keep laughing)..This joker really funny….He can cheer us up easily. haha..

It will look better if Joker didn’t reply with a “Hi”. A “Hi” there really laugh my ass off!

Looking at the respond from “Fern Leaf”…Now you know why I laugh till I can’t breathe. Fern leaf is his name from the FB profile, yet Joker call him....Hi Shameful. WTF..Hahaha

Mydeal.com.my, Hire a better person for your customer service to avoid further embarassment please.

University buddies camwhoring session @ Genting Highlands

A gathering with a bunch of my old friends is always things that I would cherish a lot. Manage to have that in Genting Highlands with my university mates. We booked a pent room at Ria Apartment for RM800. It was a bargain as the apartment can fit all even more. A total of 17 came for this gathering. Wonderful! Never expect that amount to turn up!

Overall, most of them remain who they are. Those who are shy remain shy. The crazy one still looks insane. Couples one still deeply in love. Funny one remains a clown. Single one still sigh….Lol…

This gathering involved 3 gangs, namely, Penang gang, Singapore gang and Selangor gang! Yeah this is how we call each other. These 3 gangs reached Genting at three different time too.

Guess which gang is the latest to arrive? Sg? Pg? No…It is Selangor gang. They stay the nearest yet….tsk tsk….Can’t really blame us though. We reached at Pudu damn freaking early. At Saturday 8am but the bus to Genting already sold out. The next one was at 10am. So my message to the Pg and Sg gang, you think we want to reach late ah..

Besides, us reaching late serve opportunity for you all to gain some extra money. You all went to casino anyway. I will never want to gamble in casino since I worked at there before. Because we will always lose. Still, gamblers will ask me to fuck off but that’s the fact.

I had a great time chatting with my USM mates. Oh ya!! Let us back to the main topic, we had fun camhoring the whole night. We never lost the skill to do so. Call me arrogant, call me Syiok sendiri, call me Jimmy. But the fact is we enjoyed doing that and we are good at it. Our last camwhore “session” was two years ago at Hatyai. Here it go, our  11 face camwhoring…from 0-10…

Compare the  photos from Genting Highlands 2 weeks ago and the photos from Hatyai 2 years ago (me wearing hat),

Then, we asked the ladies to pose like those Hong Kong drama poster where all the actors will pose with their characters’ personalities, but at their first try, they failed to do it. We instructed them to be evil, to look innocent, to show some disgust and to show the fake self of them! So the guys HAVE to step in and show them how to pose like a bitch and barbie in front of a camera.

After the demonstration, the ladies were given a big shock because they realized they need not to pose at all to have characters demo-ed by the guys. They just need to be like themselves and act normal because they are ladies anyway. J

They did it! When they be themselves, the desired look will appear by itself. Look at their eyes, the way they fold their arms and the way they stand.

It will be fun if we can have this gathering every year so that we can still keep in touch with each other. Next year stop- We are going to an island in Malaysia. Pulau Tioman maybe?

Xtramile Run & Charity, a success! Rotaractors were part of the success!

Looking back at how my weekend went last week, I am proud of myself. As a rotaractor from RAC Subang, we should be proud. We manage to co-organize Xtramile Run & Charity with StART Society and together, we made it! Watching Alex Au Yong's speech after he reaches StART Society, I am touched. He just put all the critics and doubters to silence.

Alex, the pacesetters and the volunteers are all the Xtramilers. With Alex's determination comes the reward. Kudos to StART Society as they manage to achieve the goal to raise more than RM100,000 for the Music and Dance programme.

Things didn't went as planned at our first leg, Putrajaya. We were late to our destination. We only had 45 minutes to prepare. First thing to solve, I was informed by Sanjeev that our PA system wasn't working. We need immediate backup plan (we got plenty of it). Solved. Next comes the crowds issue. Visualize this, 5pm at Putrajaya, it was supposed to have lots of crowds walking here and there waiting to go back home. But no, that is not how it looks like. Not many crowds to pull over to our event.

Worst still, the VVIP from StART Society, Datuk Vincent was there at 5.30pm when we were still preparing for that leg. Not knowing that Datuk Vincent was sitting alone at the shaded bench, I approached this young man and intended to explain to him about our activity with our pamphlets. He look at me and gave me the sign to stop. (talk to my hand kind of sign) Oh ya he looks fierce that time. Only a few seconds after that, I realized that young looking man is Datuk Vincent @ Chairman for StART society!

I don't blame him for being furious looking at us setting up the Putrajaya leg. It was our mistake for not arriving early. I can put the blame on the traffic, lack of crowds or even lack of manpower. The fact is we screw up the first leg because we didn't plan it good enough. We made mistake. Move on and learn from it. There was no games and quiz session here due time shortage. After 10 minutes of interview, Alex started his Extramile journey with his pace setters from Putrajaya at 6.15 pm. After done with cleaning the area, we were off to the next pit stop- Sunway Pyramid.

Sunway Pyramid was kind enough to allow us to do a pit stop on their ground @ Orange Entrance. Mistake no more at here! We reached at 7.30pm and did all the preparation, etc: drink, pamphlets. donation, t-shirts and banners. Volunteers were assigned to their specific task. Those who were assigned for pamphlets can be seen a bit shy and reluctant to approach the people there ;p It need some courage to approach public sometimes. Not many can go and say hello and explain all the details to the people there. Even I can't do that! But we try our best.

Before I proceed with the next statement, I need to clarify that this is not a racist statement. I found it is always easier to approach the Malays and Indians rather than the Chinese. They seem to be a bit cautious when we go near them. Before we open our mouth, they already say NO, without even listening to us. At least some still say no and reply with a smile.

One of the pulling factors for the crowds was we gave out free Gatorade drink. Some Eurasians took the free drink and pledged to Xtramile Run. They just don't want to have the drink free of charge. Damn generous huh. We did a mass dance practise to gain the attention of the crowds. I had fun demonstrating to the volunteers and crowds on the dance. Gary gave me the idea of this dance from the Taiwan show "Guess Guess Guess". This dance can be funny to dance because of the movement involved.

Goodies bag were given to the participants who show some courage and dance along with me. Not many dare to do so. Quizzes were asked and the answer to it is just so simple. 15 minutes before Alex arrives, we light up all the candles to light up a path for him to welcome this hero! Everyone cheer, roar and clap when Alex arrives. He was still very energetic when he reached Sunway and gave a short speech before he proceed to his next leg- Dream Village, Glenmarie.

The rest of the leg is almost the same for me. I need to make sure everything are prepared as planned and on time. The pit stops at Dream Village and Caroyln's School of Rhythmic Gymnastics went smoothly without any problem!

That's Life.

We never get what we want,
We never want what we get,
We never have what we like,
We never like what we have.
And still we live & love.
That's life...

Giving someone all your love is never an assurance that they'll love you back!
Don't expect love in return;
Just wait for it to grow in their heart,
But if it doesn't, be content it grew in yours.

It takes only a minute to get a crush on someone,
An hour to like someone,
And a day to love someone,
But it takes a lifetime to forget someone.

Don't go for looks; they can deceive.
Don't go for wealth; even that fades away.
Go for someone who makes you smile,
Because it takes only a smile to
Make a dark day seems bright.
Find the one that makes your heart smile!

The happiest of people
Don't necessarily have the best of everything;
They just make the most of everything that comes along their way.
Happiness lies for
Those who cry,
Those who hurt,
Those who have searched,
And those who have tried,
For only they can appreciate the importance of people
Who have touched their lives.

We come to love not by finding a perfect person, but by learning to see an imperfect person perfectly

Weissbrau, German Bistro & Bar, new menu launched!

Weissbrau launched its new menu last month and all new menu items were prepared for sampling. Myself, as the media was entertained by the foods and live performance by Mad Sally, everyone who came had a blast of a time.

Weissbrau, being an authentic German styled restaurant, incorporates dishes from the surrounding region to compliment traditional German fare and of course, the ale and other beverages that they are famous for. Weissbrau aims to let its diners experience a range of food from the region. It is about the experience, trying something new, and enjoying themselves.

Do you know, the word Weissbrau is a combination of German word “Weiss” for white and “brau” for brew, which refers to as white brew or white beer.

A range of Hearty dishes such as Crispy Pork Knuckle, Pork Ribs and Giant Wiener Schnitzel are a popular choice for diners, served with favorite side-dishes such as Sauerkraut (Shredded cabbage in white wine vinegar), German potato salad, Garlic mashed potato or lightly pan-fried Spaetzli (homemade egg noodle). I didn't manage to try all the recommended.

The list of beers available at Weissbrau is extensive, to name a few, Erdinger, Hoegaarden, Franziskaner and Leffe Blonde are all available on tap. Imported bottled beer such as Paulaner, Lowenbrau, Becks, Konid Ludwig and Grolsch are served chilled. Draught 5 liter Paulaner beer is also available to cater for small function. Usual suspects include Carlsberg, Tuborg and Royal Stout. Weissbrau also offers a good range of spirits, liqueurs and wine.

Pascal Schnyder, a Korean born who was raised in Switzerland speaking Swiss-German is the Executive Chef in Weissbrau Bistro & Bar. Confusing eh? Pascal said he is a Swiss after all. He has worked for months revitalizing Weissbrau’s menu and creating new and exciting dishes to satisfy the customers.  This is really a restaurant like no other, as everything you see was custom made.

Pascal personally designed the interior décor and had a hand in everything from the crystal glasses, table ware, chairs, furniture and even the linen. Looking at his resume, Geneva Noga Hilton Hotel, Dolder Grand in Zurich and Zeunghauskeller Zurich were among his former employee.

Entertainment for the evening comes from upcoming international musical bands in Malaysia, Mad Sally, comprising five members, who is led by Charles Yew Han Baker. Mad Sally usually performs songs from the 50s to the present, covering Disco, Jazz, Pop, Rock, Soul and ballads.

Why Mad Sally? Because all the band members are international musicians, hence, mat salleh (Mad Sally). Though Mad Sally was said to be all male musical band, they do have a female vocal that would perform along with the band upon request from the crowds.

Interesting facts about the lead singer – Charles Yew Han Baker, he comes from British and Chinese-Malaysian heritage. Charles holds a Masters degree in music at Oxford University. Yew Han wrote and produced a duet for himself and Jaclyn Victor last year.

Watch the video below, Mad Sally singing Bee Gees' Staying Alive...Before that, I should thank Orchan Consulting Asia for inviting me to Weissbrau's new menu party!
